Thompson Metal Fab (TMF) is a heavy structural steel and plate fabrication facility serving a wide range of industrial and infrastructure projects.

During the tour, participants will see large-scale fabrication processes including prefab/processing, layout and fitting, welding, blasting, and industrial painting. The shop environment includes overhead cranes, heavy material handling, and active production work, providing a firsthand look at how complex steel components are built from raw material through final coating. Safety requirements for the tour:

• Closed-toe shoes are required (steel toe preferred, but not required for escorted visitors)
• Long pants or skirts are required (no shorts)
• No sleeveless shirts
• Safety glasses, hard hats, and hearing protection will be provided on-site (ear plugs will be available but are not required due to limited exposure duration and intensity)
• Visitors must remain with their assigned group and follow all instructions from TMF personnel

ID will not be required but all participants will be asked to review and sign a brief NDA during check-in.
