The Portland Chapter hopes you can join us for a tour of Fought & Company’s facility in Tigard.

Fought & Company has served as one of the Western United States’ most prestigious complex steel fabricators for more than 75 years. Their distinguished team specializes in large-scale, high-complexity projects such as bridges, hospitals, stadiums, commercial, and industrial buildings. With a proven track record and deep industry experience, Fought is equipped to take on some of the most demanding structural steel projects.

Located just minutes from Portland, Oregon, Fought’s 180,000 sq. ft. single-site fabrication facility is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest. The company is AISC-certified for high-rise buildings, bridges, marine, and other structural steel applications. Fought also holds an AISC Sophisticated Paint Endorsement (QP3 – Indoor), with extensive experience in applying a wide range of coatings and surface treatments.

Tour Overview:

Guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at Fought’s fabrication facility, where they can observe active steel fabrication work including welding, fitting, machining, and coatings. The tour will provide insight into their production process and showcase the coordination between departments that bring large-scale steel structures to life.

• Welcome & Safety Briefing: 10:15 am
• Tour: 10:15 – 11:15 am

Tour Requirements:

• Attendees should wear pants, a sleeved shirt (short-sleeved shirt 4″ from the shoulder to the end of the sleeve or a long-sleeved shirt), and safety-toe shoes.
• Safety glasses, hard hats, and hearing protection will be provided.
