The Portland chapter is excited to welcome Nick Webb from Ryerson to speak to our group on March 16th, 2023.

Nick Webb is the Director of Risk Management and Commodity Hedging within Ryerson.  Prior to this Nick spent almost a decade as a commodity broker at Wells Fargo, Newedge, and Jefferies, where he structured trading and hedging solutions for miners, mills, distributors, end users, and even hedge funds.  He also started the ferrous brokerage desks at all three firms before joining Ryerson to manage commodity, foreign exchange, and interest rate risks for both the company and its customers.  Nick earned his BSBA in Finance from Ohio State with a minor in Economics.

Nick will provide a broad overview of macroeconomic conditions, both within the US as well as globally.  He will also spend time digging into a variety of commodity markets with a particular emphasis on industrial metals and their impact to the trailer industry in 2023.
