What to Expect
An afternoon of networking including a speaker, Sarah Moran, who will be discussing “Networking with Purpose”. There will also be a book drive benefitting Promising Pages. Your registration ticket includes appetizers, 1-hour of open bar, and dinner.

Book Drive
We will be collection books to benefit a local children’s organization called Promising Pages. There is no limit to how many books you can bring and at this time, the highest demand is for the Pre-K through 5th Grade group. If you bring a book, you will be entered into a raffle!

About our Speaker
Sarah Moran began her career in the steel industry in 1996 as an Inside Sales Representative with US Steel Plate Products. She was promoted to Outside Sales in 2002. With the acquisitions by ISG and ultimately ArcelorMittal she continued her steel sales career, served as Product Manager for Plate Products, and went on to become Sales Development Manager responsible for a 14 sales trainees directing a year long outside sales training program. Sarah also held positions as Product Manager – Cold Roll and Product Manager – Hot Roll. Her career is a testament to longevity and survival in our tumultuous industry. In February 2019, she joined Central Steel & Wire, part of the Ryerson family of companies, as Director of Procurement – Flat Carbon.

Sarah’s AWMI involvement began in 1997. She served on the Chicago Chapter Board as Programs Chair, Marketing Chair and eventually became President in 2001-2002. She briefly served on the International Board as Programs Chair in 2003 and again on the Chicago Board in 2017 in an interim role. She continues her 24 years of membership and support of the Chicago Chapter and all of AWMI.
