Mark your calendars! For the AWMI Minnesota Chapter Industry Dinner on Thursday, April 20th!

This event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Bloomington Minneapolis. Our keynote speaker is Joey Johnson, Executive Vice President High Value Add Business of  Kloeckner Metals Corporation. Joey will share his insights on the topic of Green Steel and how the Kloeckner Metals Corporation has implemented the topic within the business Kloeckner.

Meet Our Speaker

Joey is a 28-year metals industry veteran, starting his career with Edgcomb Metals in 1994. Edgcomb was acquired by Macsteel Service Centers USA, which was later acquired by Kloeckner & Co in 2011.

Throughout his career, he has served in various commercial and leadership roles, including Sales, Procurement, Stainless & Aluminum Product Manager, General Manager, VP/Regional Manager, and EVP Commercial. He now serves as the Executive Vice President, North American High Value Add Business (HVAB) for Kloeckner, leading the development and execution of the growth strategy of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Pre-Painted Metals, and Kloeckner’s Fabrication Division.

Joey is also leading North American commercial efforts, serving on the Kloeckner GAIA global team for Green Steel, as part of the “Kloeckner Takes Action 2040” commitment.

Joey holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Western Kentucky University (Bowling Green, KY) where he also played football and a graduate of the Strategic Metals Management Program at Washington University (St. Louis, MO).
