The AWMI California Chapter is pleased to announce a tour followed by a lunch & learn session at Consolidated Engineering Laboratories (CEL) in Northern California on May 16, 2024.

Since 1976, CEL has been providing engineering and materials testing services to the construction industry. Headquartered in San Ramon, California, CEL has offices and laboratories throughout the Western United States. With their depth of in-house resources and staffed with the finest Materials Engineers and fully certified field and laboratory staff, CEL can provide all of your engineering and materials testing needs for any size project.

PPE/Attire Requirements

*Please note that the lab is dusty, so keep that in mind when selecting attire.

• Safety glasses are required (CEL will provide).
• Closed toe shoes that cover most of the foot.  No heels.
• No loose or flowy clothing, long hair tied back (i.e. nothing that can get caught in or snagged on machinery).
• Long pants and No sleeveless shirts.

Parking/Location Logistics 

CEL is located at 534 23^rd Avenue, Oakland, CA  94606

• Parking in the area is limited. Carpooling is strongly recommended.
• Attendees should come through the main entrance located on the corner of 23^rd Avenue and East 7^th Street upon arrival.
• Limited parking is available down East 7^th Street, and on Chapman Street which is parallel to East 7^th on the other side of the lab.  Parking is also available across 23^rd Avenue from the lab in front of the studio apartments there.
