About Our Keynote Speaker

Sarah Deukmejian
President, Steelscape

Sarah Deukmejian is the President of NS BlueScope Coated Products North America which oversees two businesses in coated and painted steel industry—Steelscape and ASC Profiles. Steelscape is a manufacturer of coated and painted steel with locations in Kalama, Washington and Rancho Cucamonga, CA. ASC Profiles is a roll former of steel roofing, walling and structural steel decking with manufacturing sites across the Western US.

Sarah began her professional career in politics, working as a political fundraiser and later, for a Sacramento lobbying firm. She entered the steel business after earning her Masters of International Business from the University of San Diego. During her 25 years in the steel industry, Sarah has worked in marketing, sales, business development, R&D and general management. In addition, Sarah was trained as a Six Sigma black belt and spent three years in Australia managing sales and business development to BlueScope’s many distribution and manufacturing customers across the country.

Sarah is passionate about supporting the more than 600 people she manages with a safe work environment and strives to provide them with opportunities for development and growth. With customers and suppliers, Sarah seeks to forge long-term relationships and to reliably deliver innovative, quality products that inspire the design and building of attractive, durable structures across the United States.

When not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family–a daughter 20 and son 17, attending her son’s soccer game and hosting gatherings for friends and family.
