Meeting! We are pleased to have David Burritt, President and CEO of United States
Steel Corporation, as our speaker.
For the past several years, U. S. Steel has been reshaping to transform the future
for their company, their customers, and the steel industry. In his presentation, Mr.
Burritt will offer his insights on the future of the steel and how U. S. Steel is using
their ‘Best of Both’ and ‘Best for All’ strategies to adjust to the industry’s changing
landscape. Hot topics such as green steel and decarbonization will also be discussed.
Mr. Burritt joined U. S. Steel in September 2013 to serve as Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer and was appointed President and Chief
Executive Officer in May 2017. He also serves on the board of directors for
Lockheed Martin and the National Safety Council, serves on the Executive
Committee of the Worldsteel Board of Directors, and is a member of The Business
Council.
