Maureen Horn is the Regional Director and former Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Southern Region. She has served on the Texas Chapter Board in various positions and is currently Past President. Maureen also celebrated her 25-year anniversary as an AWMI member in 2024. Starting her career in the steel industry in 1999 with IPSCO Tubulars, she has held various positions in the commercial organization of IPSCO and TMK IPSCO. After participating in many projects at IPSCO and TMK IPSCO, Maureen began leading projects and earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification in 2014. Maureen is now part of NORMA Group as a Senior IT Project Manager representing Americas within the global IT organization. She resides in Klein, Texas with her husband and two cats.

Meredith Van Dyne has been a member of AWMI since 2016. Meredith is also the current President of the Tennessee Chapter. She joined Gerdau in 2012 as a Customer Service Representative and was later promoted to Account Specialist for Merchant Bar in 2014. She then became a Regional Sales Representative for Merchant bar and Beams and moved to TN with Gerdau in 2016. In 2020 she became the Regional Sales Manager for Gerdau’s Construction Segment for merchants and beams for the US. Since January 2023 she has been the Regional Sales Manager for Gerdau's Distribution Segment for the Western half of the US.

Tina Brown currently serves as the Alabama Chapter Secretary as well as the Southern Region Secretary. A lifelong resident of the Birmingham, Alabama area, Tina began her career in the metals industry as administrative staff at U. S. Steel in Fairfield, AL in the late 1990s. After a brief period of working with the family business in finance, she returned to the metals industry at Tube City IMS in 2005. Tina has been with what is now TMS International for over 18 years. Currently she serves as HSEQ Coordinator for North America, performing valuable internal safety and environmental audits as well as ongoing training and support for site quality management representatives and safety staff at TMS International's many North American locations.

Angelica Callejas-Frausto is the Texas Chapter Vice President. Angelica started in the steel industry at Storage & Processors in 2006 and has done a bit of everything from Inventory, Shipping, Customer Service Manager, Inside Sales Manager to her current position as HR Office Administrator. In December 2009, Storage & Processors was acquired by Steel & Pipe Supply. She completed the Lead-M Program with Steel & Pipe back in 2016. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, is involved in church, loves trying new recipes and baking. Volunteer work throughout the Metropolitan Houston Area includes organizations such as JDRF, Susan G. Komen, Ronald McDonald House, and Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Monica Apodaca is the Director for the Southern Region and Past President of the Carolinas Chapter. Monica began her career in the metals industry at ArcelorMittal in 2002, serving in several Sales and Marketing roles. She moved to North Carolina in 2015 as an OEM Account Manager and in August 2016 Monica accepted a position in the CCS division at United Technologies as Associate Director for Steel and was Director of Global Steel and Steel Fab Strategic Sourcing until August 2023. Currently she is the SCM for Steel at Trane Technologies. Monica graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Public Policy in 2000 and currently resides in Charlotte with her three French Bulldogs.
