Sian Marcone

Marketing Manager North America- Arconic

Sian graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics. She was hired by Bethlehem Steel Corporation in 1993 as a sales trainee in the company's "Loop" training program and had assignments in the company's Philadelphia, Greensboro and Baltimore sales offices. During this time, Sian earned a Master of Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland.

After Bethlehem Steel's bankruptcy in 2003, Sian remained with the Sparrows Point facility through its subsequent purchase by International Steel Group and then ArcelorMittal in 2006. In May of that year, she joined Main Steel Polishing Company as National Marketing Manager - Tape Products before returning to ArcelorMittal as an Account Manager in 2007. The Sparrows Point division was ultimately sold to Severstal North America in 2008 and to RG Steel, LLC in 2011. In December of 2011, Sian was promoted to Manager of Cold Rolled and Tin Mill Products, where she served until the company's closure in August 2012. In January 2013, she rejoined the metals industry as an Account Manager for Alcoa, responsible for aluminum sales in the Northeast for the company's Global Aerospace, Transportation and Industrial (ATI) Rolled Products division. In June 2016, she became Marketing Manager North America for Arconic’s Global Rolled Products division, responsible for Industrial coil, sheet and plate products.

For the more than two decades that she has been in the metals industry, Sian has been a member of The Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI). During that time she has served in various Chapter and International board positions, including International President for the 2011-2012 term. She was chosen AWMI's Member of the Year in 2010.
