Mary Wardle is the International President of AWMI. Prior to this position she served in four International Board positions and several chapter positions. She has been in the steel industry for over 40 years starting in accounting and moving into purchasing/inventory control before moving to her passion of working directly with customers in Customer Service and then to Sales and Sales Management. She is currently Director of Sales for Steelscape, LLC.
Kelly Jones has worked in various roles both indirectly and directly related to steel for over the past 20 years. Kelly works at Mill Steel Company as Director of Sales, responsible for growing and supplying automotive customers with their ferrous and non-ferrous requirements.
Lauren Kerekes is the International Treasurer for AWMI. For 27 years, she has worked in a variety of accounting and finance roles for Worthington Industries, currently serving as a part of the Pressure Cylinder Finance team. In 2012, she was recognized as AWMI’s Member of the Year.
Beth Amundson is the International Secretary. Beth has worked in the metal industries for over eighteen years and has been with Quality Metals since early 2020. Over her years with AWMI she has been the President, Vice President, and Programs Chair of the Minnesota Chapter and the Secretary of the Midwest Region.
Sonya Malvick is the International Past President of AWMI. She has been in the steel industry for over 30 years holding a variety of sales and sales management roles with companies such as Russel Metals, J&F Steel, and Ratner Steel. Sonya currently works for Olympic Steel as a Wisconsin Outside Sales Territory Manager.
Anna Tompkins is the International Marketing Chair of AWMI. She previously served as the president of the Baltimore Chapter. She has nineteen years’ experience in the metals industry working for Atlantic Recycling Group in a variety of roles, from Scrap Buyer to Vice President. In 2022 ARG was acquired by Sims Metal, with Anna serving as their Mid-Atlantic Commercial Director. She received her B.S in Journalism from West Virginia University.
Rebecca "Becky" Dolan
Rebecca “Becky” Dolan is the International Membership Chair and Member-at-Large of the Columbus Chapter. She has previously served on the Central Regional Board as the Regional Director, Regional Vice-Chair, and Regional Treasurer. She has previously served on the Columbus Chapter board as Newsletter / Publicity Chair, Vice President and President. She has been an AWMI member since 2001. She was chosen as AWMI's Member of the Year in 2021. In 1994 she began her career at InfoSight Corporation, a supplier of identification and marking equipment to the metal industries, as the receptionist. Over the years, she has progressed through positions in administration support, accounting, sales, and purchasing. Becky was promoted to her current position of Purchasing / Materials Manager in August 2022. Becky graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University in 1998.
Sian Marcone worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles for steel producing mills such as Bethlehem Steel, ISG, ArcelorMittal, Severstal, and RG Steel, before joining Alcoa (now Arconic) in 2013. She currently is Arconic’s Sr. Manager, Pricing and Contracts in the company’s Global Rolled Products division. She was AWMI International President from 2011-2012 and was chosen AWMI Member of the Year for 2010.
Carol Chizmar is the International Conference Chair of AWMI. She has worked in the industry for 40+ years in a variety of roles including sales management, supply chain and is currently working as the ENA Customer Service Lead and Team Leader for Hydro Industrial group. Hydro Extrusion North America was previously Sapa, Alcoa, Alumax and Cressona Aluminum Company, all through acquisitions.
Andrea Schmidt is the International Programs Chair for AWMI. She previously served as the International Secretary. She has 17 years' experience in the metals industry working in a veriety of roles in engineering and sales. She has worked for both steel and aluminium producting mills such as Nucor, ThyssenKrupp and Alcoa now Arconic. Andrea currently works as an Automotive Applications Engineer for Arconic.
Angela DiMasso-Henneman is the Central Regional Director and the Past President of the Columbus Chapter. She is currently a National Accounts Manager for Coilplus. Her professional experience consists of 26+ years in the Steel Manufacturing field where she has held various positions in manufacturing, operations, product/business development, sales and procurement.
Amanda Ryan is the Midwest Regional Director. She has worked in the metals industry for over 12 years. Amanda recently took on a new role in Flat Roll managing the Northern Illinois and Wisconsin territory for National Material Company. Previously, Amanda spent time as Nucor’s ERP Project Lead for the Engineered bar group as well as their District Sales Manager for the Midsouth. Amanda’s career began with ArcelorMittal in flat roll. Amanda has been part of AWMI since 2011 serving for both Chicago and Wisconsin Chapters as a Volunteer Coordinator, Membership Co-Chair, Programs Coordinator, Secretary, and Vice chair for the Midwest and Southern Region.
Tiffany Hutcheson is the Regional Director of the Northeast region and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Tiff has held the position of Chapter President of the Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic Chapters. She began her career at Brightsmith 13 years ago as an Account Manager and now oversees both the pre and post paint facilities as General Manager.
Monica Apodaca is the Director for the Southern Region and Past President of the Carolinas Chapter. Monica began her career in the metals industry at ArcelorMittal in 2002 serving in several Sales and Marketing roles. She moved to North Carolina in 2015 as an OEM Account Manager and in August 2016 Monica accepted a position in the CCS division at United Technologies as Associate Director for Steel and was Director of Global Steel and Steel Fab Strategic Sourcing until August 2023. Currently she is the SCM for Steel at Trane Technologies. Monica graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Public Policy in 2000 and currently resides in Charlotte with her three French Bulldogs.
Shawna Livingston is serving as the Western Regional Director. Her previous roles with AWMI included Regional Vice Chair and Seattle Chapter President. Her passion for helping people grow personally and professionally, led her, to become a member of the International Mentoring Committee in 2018. Shawna started as an Administrative Assistant 18 years ago, working her way up through various roles within the metals manufacturing industries including accounting, HR, procurement and operations management. Currently Shawna works at Astronics AES as a Program Manager for New Product Introductions.
