AWMI 2006 Member of the Year

Mt Royal, NJ - The Association of Women in the Metal Industries named Victoria Zanutto of Myers Container/CMS. LLC 2006 Member of the Year at the AWMI Leadership Conference in Palm Springs, CA held October 4 - 7, 2007.

Of her 24 years in the metals industry, Victoria has devoted 12 of those years to AWMI. She's served on the local, regional and international board of directors and currently serves as International Past President. For the last four years, she committed her time and experience to the Chapter Assistance Team effort. No matter where she was needed, she made herself available to any chapter or region that needed the help. Victoria willingly spent her personal time in order to attend a CAT, expansion, or regional meeting and always looks forward to an opportunity to mentor others.

In addition to her CAT efforts, she successfully led us through a difficult time of association management transition while serving as International President. Victoria simply never says "No" to any challenge. She served AWMI well in her role as International VP and International President, and currently serves as our International Past President, which includes the role of Website Committee Chair. She puts her heart and soul into AWMI and there isn't a job that she wouldn't do. During her service on the Regional and International levels, she continued to be a constant advisor to her Chapter and stays involved on the local level.

For her tireless efforts to represent the steel industry with such professionalism, grace and poise and for her unyielding vision, leadership and legacy that will carry our organization well into the next decade, the International Board of Directors is thrilled to present Victoria with our highest honor - Member of the Year.
