Liza Godsil of Bralco Metals
Elected as AWMI 2017 Member of the Year

 

{Mt. Royal, New Jersey, June 15, 2018} - The Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) is pleased to announce Liza Godsil as 2017 Member of the Year!

Ms. Godsil has been a member of AWMI for 10 years. In that time, she has held the position of Seattle Chapter Programs Chair, Vice President and Chapter President. She currently serves as the International Membership Chair after serving as the Western Regional Director 3 years.

In 1996 Ms. Godsil started in Production and Shipping in smaller Chicago area facilities.  After moving to Seattle in 1998 she transitioned to Inside and then Outside Sales roles for various companies.  She has also held a variety of management roles. 

Liza is employed by Bralco Metals for the second time in her career, this time returning as the Outside Sales Manager followed by a recent promotion to Division Manager. "Bralco Metals has been a wonderful company to work for. The culture here is one where voices are heard and ideas are welcomed. Bralco has been a strong supporter both of the AWMI and of my goals towards advancing within this organization. I am proud to work with such incredible people."

Currently serving as the International Membership Chair has been another new challenge for 2018. "I really love working with all 20 of our AWMI Chapters. This Organization has personally given me great confidence and leadership skills that I am able to apply daily at Bralco.  I'm thrilled to be giving back while trying something new and different. 2018 has brought my 50th birthday, my 15th wedding anniversary and my 10year anniversary of membership in AWMI. I'm grateful to all the people in my personal and professional life who have supported me this year!"

Liza Godsil will receive her award November 8th, 2018 at AWMI's Annual Conference at the Don CeSar in St. Pete, Fl. More information can be found at www.awmi.org.

 

The Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) is an organization of professionals, founded in California in 1981, to promote and develop the growth of women in the metal industries.
